This is my last commercial photography assignment, for Food... well, it's a beverage, but my prof was ok with that...

Taken with a Hasselblad with a digital back worth more than the sum of all of my photography equipment, computers, tv, and other material possessions!

Yeah, so... Please don't try a camera toss, unless it is with a camera you DON'T care about. I took a few more shots this weekend in that style and ended up breaking my D50 due to a rough catch. Now I'm sending it in to see if it can be fixed...

However, I can't really go without a camera, so I bought a D80. I know that a D200 or D300 probably would have been a better choice, but the budget really hasn't allowed for it yet. Eventually I'd like to get a D300, but I guess that will have to be postponed a little.

So far, I really like my D80, its got some very nice new features for me to play with, and my initial few images have had some really nice colors.

I'll have some new photos up soon, going to Niagara Falls this weekend!

Maybe throwing is not such a good idea, but yes, I took my camera, tossed it into the air while the shutter was open, and got the image that you see here, as well as the one below it. I'm sure there will be more to come as this newfound technique seems pretty cool!

I actually shot this last summer, but I sometimes revisit my shots and see how I can improve them, with a simple levels tweak I was able to give new life to this picture.

Well friends, readers, whoever randomly stumbles upon this page..

I deleted a massive amount of photos from my Flickr account yesterday. Not because they were terrible, or naughty, or anything, but because I want to try to showcase only my best shots. I removed plenty of decent photos, but they are all photos that I look at and say, "well, that's ok, but I've done better". From now on, I hope to only post photos that I'm really proud of or happy with.

I guess the general goal is that I get maximum impact from 10 good photos, not 30 mediocre ones.

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything, and a lot has been going on in my life since my last post. The photos that I've posted are from the Commercial Photography class that I'm taking this semester. The only ones that I'm actually handing in so far are the barn pictures, but I am reasonably pleased with the other ones too, which were mostly experiments. Look for more projects coming later this semester! I also decided to tweak my template a little today, I think the black background helps isolate the pictures for better viewing. Hope you enjoy them!

So, I know it's been a while since I posted, but finals, school, ect, these things'll kill a man. Anyways, since I had a black and white film photography class this semester, my mind is seeing things in grayscale, so here are a few adaptations of images you may have already seen, and a few new ones in the mix. New Camera, Busy Summer

So yeah, I bought a Nikon D50 in May, a significant upgrade from my Panasonic, although it was still a good camera. And since May, I've taken a pretty solid amount of pictures, and below are some of the highlights that I've gotten this summer.

This summer I am living in Johnson City, NY, working for Lockheed Martin. The internship is going FANTASTIC, and I'm definitely having a great time. However, I haven't had internet access or cable tv at my apartment, but I'm not complaining; I kind of like being a little disconnected. On weekends I spend time at a friends in PA, and use the internet when I need it.

To anyone who thought they would be hearing from me more, I'm sorry, I'm kinda bad at keeping in touch, as a matter of fact I've only talked to my own college roommate like 3 times. The summer is coming to a close, and although I've had a great time up here and made friends from all over the country, I am really looking forward to getting back to PCT and reuniting with all of my friends, as well as actually getting home. Anyways, as I said before, highlights of my picture takings are below, check them out, comment on them, enjoy!
